After a routine nail polish removal, Karen Edmonds didn’t like the look of her toe. Or, to be more specific, it was the unusual color of her toenail that seemed particularly troublesome.
By his own admission, Ken Bagot has paid a high price for the “terrific tan” of his younger days. “I’ve been living in Florida since 1974,” he explains, “and I used to do a lot of sunbathing and lying around the pool while reading. I’ve absorbed an awful lot of sun in my time.”
For Janis Ward, the problems with her skin began at age 40. “My psoriasis was pretty severe in the beginning, and I went for years without any treatment,” she recalls. “I had to wear long sleeves and cover everything up. It was just embarrassing.”
